Living Relic

10 views 0 downloads

Awaken an individual relic through a chosen objective while holding it. Its icon, glint, and lore reflect progress toward one configured power.

Make one item worth keeping. Living Relic attaches progress to the relic itself, so the tool you carry through a challenge becomes the tool that earns its awakened power.

Let one item earn its awakened power

Keep the relic in either hand while completing its objective. In the supplied version, eight qualifying hostile kills awaken it; its icon and lore change as that individual item progresses.

Before awakening, use gives brief Night Vision. Afterward, it activates a four-block ward for five seconds. The item keeps its own history when dropped or transferred, while a newly crafted relic starts fresh.

Craft it

  • Living Relic: 1 × redstone, 2 × copper ingot, 1 × amethyst shard, 1 × stick.

Open the editable project below and choose Crafting Path to check each recipe’s exact arrangement.

Before you try it

  • Progress belongs to the individual unstackable item and persists when it is dropped or transferred. A newly crafted relic starts fresh.
  • Visual stages change the inventory icon, glint, and lore. It does not transform into a creature or a new worn model.
  • One configured power is unlocked. Creative command copying is not a Survival progression guarantee.

Each activation costs one amethyst shard in Survival, with a three-second cooldown. Creative use is free.

Download the beta JAR from Files. Use Minecraft Java 26.1.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5, Fabric API 0.155.3+26.1.2 and Java 25. Put the mod and Fabric API in the instance’s mods folder; multiplayer needs both on the server and joining clients.

Checked on Windows in a separate test world. Other devices and live multiplayer have not been verified.

Make it yours

Choose the ore-mining objective instead of hostile kills for a mining-focused relic. Keep the goal modest while deciding which task suits your world.

Open Living Relic in the constructor to change the settings and build your own version. Save its editable project if you want to keep working later.
