Lumen Loom

A ravine does not have to become a permanent cobblestone bridge. Lumen Loom gives you a crossing made from solid light, a rising route, and a small shelter that can disappear when you are finished.

The Span Spindle lays a temporary glowing path over water. Captured in a natural river valley using a Creative presentation camera; this 24-row path ends before the far bank.

A crossing you can take back

Face the gap and use the Span Spindle. A cyan path grows outward, up to 24 rows and three blocks wide. The Rise Spindle trades that level crossing for a golden ascent:16 rows that climb one block every two rows. Both stop when the route is obstructed.

The Halo Spindle gives you a small violet shelter. When you are ready to move on, the Recall Spool clears your own light structures for free. Otherwise the supplied 45-second timer handles cleanup, waiting while a player is still standing on the structure.

Craft it

• Span Spindle: 2 × amethyst shard, 1 × string, 3 × copper ingot, 1 × glass.
• Rise Spindle: 3 × amethyst shard, 1 × copper ingot, 1 × feather.
• Halo Spindle: 1 × amethyst shard, 3 × copper ingot, 1 × obsidian.
• Recall Spool: 2 × string, 2 × amethyst shard, 1 × copper ingot.

Before you try it

• The structures use empty space; they do not excavate a tunnel or replace existing builds.
• Light blocks last 45 seconds in the supplied project. Removal waits while a player stands on the structure; this is temporary support, not a permanent building material.
• Recall affects your own structures. It does not collect other players' creations.

Each construction costs one amethyst shard in Survival, with a two-second cooldown. Recall is free.

Download the beta JAR from Files. Use Minecraft Java 26.1.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5, Fabric API 0.155.3+26.1.2 and Java 25. Put the mod and Fabric API in the instance’s mods folder; multiplayer needs both on the server and joining clients.

Checked on Windows in a separate test world. Other devices and live multiplayer have not been verified.

Make it yours

Try changing Span Spindle length from 24 to 12 for short crossings. Width, duration, and light color are separate controls; the shelter has its own duration and color.

Open Lumen Loom in the constructor to change the settings and build your own version. Save its editable project if you want to keep working later.
